Piano Series: Meno Mosso
transitional objects of griefMeno Mosso is a visual lament, exploring loss through the sense of an absent presence. The lament expresses a wide range of feelings from melancholy, shock, exhaustion and anger to an overwhelming sense of grief. The focus of this moving image work is on the upright piano that the artist’s father used for composition. An inherited ‘transitional object of grief’, becomes subject, a persistent character both positive and negative.
