exploring the meaning of rural in a fragile landscape
the flat arable lands with scant tree and hedge
fierce wind tears across flat industrial Suffolk fields
few trees or hedgerows impede its journey

when the wind blows is a stop-motion animation is a draft idea; an ongoing pursuit exploring ways to capture the physical, intangible forces of the weather, in this case the wind - a characteristic feature of the flat extensive Suffolk landscapes, where industrial farming necessitates an absence of trees and hedgerows which seems to increase the ferociousness of winds without impediment.
