the landscape of our private space and its capacity to contain and sustain us, to constrain and enslave us

2011
Single channel black and white video with sound, 2’38”
Location: London
This work is transparent in its construction: a video camera, a tripod to find distance within the confines of a small space.

Performative acts born out of the frustrations of life, of playing the role of mother, of living in a small space, feeling conf
ined by domesticity, a sense of duty and responsibility to others, subordinating a desperate rage, life sitting on the back burner.
