Lacuna is a moving image work made from a performance to Super-8mm film. The artist carefully washes the scar at her ankle. The digital edit superimposes black and white with colour film. The action is repetitive, simple, uncertain and precarious. The space is dark, domestic, interior and claustrophobic. Silence intensifies the desire to impose control over lost memories.

A performance work from the series Trace, made in the 1990s, documented on film and further explored through the transfer to analogue and digital media.
